Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge

Bonjour, mes amies!

Today I bought the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge and it's so soft! I never tried the beauty blender due to its insanely over priced price, like seriously $26 CAD + Tax for a sponge that will only last me 6 months? No, no honey! So I resorted to a cheaper alternative.

The color is a really nice shade of orange and it's the perfect size for my hands. Can be used to blend in foundation and concealer!

It's a 3 in 1 sponge what more could we the consumers ask for? So the price for this was $9.99 but I bet you could find it way cheaper at Winners on some lucky days!

I haven't tried this yet, but I'll do so tomorrow! Stay in tune for more reviews with MOI!

Dior Star vs Nars All Day Luminous Wear

Welcome to this week's edition of, BATTLE OF THE FOUNDATION!

Today it is Dior vs Nars, so carry on reading and I'll tell you who the clear winner is.

Nars All Day Luminous Wear
This foundation is great for people with oily skin because the overall finish is really a semi-matte finish. Okay on my last post I've might of said this was kind of oily on me, but now I take that back. I rewore it again and this time, Hallujah, it stayed in tact. There's no smell to it, which doesn't really bother me and it's a light to medium coverage. However, I do think it can be built to full coverage. This cost $56 CAD in Sephora and it has 30ml.

Dior Star
IS THIS YOUR NEW SELFIE FOUNDATION? Sadly no because when I took a picture with flash it kind of gave me a ghostly look (picture is below). However, in the natural lighting it does make your skin really natural looking and smooth. This foundation suits people with dry skin more than oily skin because it's a really hydrating foundation. The coverage I would say is only light to medium and it has this perfume scent to it, which I love. The finish look is really dewy and soft, wouldn't recommend this to anyone with a lot of imperfections because the foundation for me was see through, but in a good way you know? Anyways this retails for $49 CAD at Sephora for 30ml.

A Comparison of the Two Foundations
(On my right side is the Nars and on my left side is the Dior Star)

CAN YOU TELL WHICH SIDE GAVED MY FACE A GHOSTLY EFFECT?

If you guessed my right side then your correct! You won yourself a piece of valuable knowledge when thinking of buying Dior Star

Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation

I've been hearing a lot of great reviews on this foundation, so I had to go to my nearest sephora!

I believe it has 19 shades and the sephora girl told me this would be a perfect match for my oily skin. All you ladies with oily skin, this is your calling!

Okay on to the juicy stuff...my shade is Vallauris, but I found it too dark for my liking. Keep in mind I only got the sample.  It's a light to medium coverage foundation and it feels super light weight on your skin! On the 4 hour mark I started to feel oily, but the appearance of it made my skin look glowy and healthy! Trust me not the oily disaster you were thinking about.

Excuse my atrocious hair! Doesn't it look a bit dark on me?

I have pimples and redness on my skin and this foundation covers it up quite well. However, you'll still need a concealer to go over the troublesome areas and always set it with a powder.

Overall Rating:
8/10

Pros:
• has a variety if shades
• the finish look is really natural
• doesn't have an icky smell attatch to it

Cons:
• $57 CAD for 30 ml of this foundation
• doesn't keep you matte for long
