Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge

Bonjour, mes amies!

Today I bought the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge and it's so soft! I never tried the beauty blender due to its insanely over priced price, like seriously $26 CAD + Tax for a sponge that will only last me 6 months? No, no honey! So I resorted to a cheaper alternative.

The color is a really nice shade of orange and it's the perfect size for my hands. Can be used to blend in foundation and concealer!

It's a 3 in 1 sponge what more could we the consumers ask for? So the price for this was $9.99 but I bet you could find it way cheaper at Winners on some lucky days!

I haven't tried this yet, but I'll do so tomorrow! Stay in tune for more reviews with MOI!

Dior Star vs Nars All Day Luminous Wear

Welcome to this week's edition of, BATTLE OF THE FOUNDATION!

Today it is Dior vs Nars, so carry on reading and I'll tell you who the clear winner is.

Nars All Day Luminous Wear
This foundation is great for people with oily skin because the overall finish is really a semi-matte finish. Okay on my last post I've might of said this was kind of oily on me, but now I take that back. I rewore it again and this time, Hallujah, it stayed in tact. There's no smell to it, which doesn't really bother me and it's a light to medium coverage. However, I do think it can be built to full coverage. This cost $56 CAD in Sephora and it has 30ml.

Dior Star
IS THIS YOUR NEW SELFIE FOUNDATION? Sadly no because when I took a picture with flash it kind of gave me a ghostly look (picture is below). However, in the natural lighting it does make your skin really natural looking and smooth. This foundation suits people with dry skin more than oily skin because it's a really hydrating foundation. The coverage I would say is only light to medium and it has this perfume scent to it, which I love. The finish look is really dewy and soft, wouldn't recommend this to anyone with a lot of imperfections because the foundation for me was see through, but in a good way you know? Anyways this retails for $49 CAD at Sephora for 30ml.

A Comparison of the Two Foundations
(On my right side is the Nars and on my left side is the Dior Star)

CAN YOU TELL WHICH SIDE GAVED MY FACE A GHOSTLY EFFECT?

If you guessed my right side then your correct! You won yourself a piece of valuable knowledge when thinking of buying Dior Star

Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation

I've been hearing a lot of great reviews on this foundation, so I had to go to my nearest sephora!

I believe it has 19 shades and the sephora girl told me this would be a perfect match for my oily skin. All you ladies with oily skin, this is your calling!

Okay on to the juicy stuff...my shade is Vallauris, but I found it too dark for my liking. Keep in mind I only got the sample.  It's a light to medium coverage foundation and it feels super light weight on your skin! On the 4 hour mark I started to feel oily, but the appearance of it made my skin look glowy and healthy! Trust me not the oily disaster you were thinking about.

Excuse my atrocious hair! Doesn't it look a bit dark on me?

I have pimples and redness on my skin and this foundation covers it up quite well. However, you'll still need a concealer to go over the troublesome areas and always set it with a powder.

Overall Rating:
8/10

Pros:
• has a variety if shades
• the finish look is really natural
• doesn't have an icky smell attatch to it

Cons:
• $57 CAD for 30 ml of this foundation
• doesn't keep you matte for long

Revlon Super Lustrous Lippies

Hay hay hay dollies! Been such a sucky day for me, with the bad weather and all, but you know what cleared the rain away and created a lustrous rainbow? Walmart 20 years in Canada sale!

I admit I'm guilty for only buying beauty products in Walmart (with exception of apples and milk) and that's what I bought today.

Introducing my new favourite lipstick with such an amazing price to die for... Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick! Oh my gee, these bad boys are super creamy on your lips, imagine putting peanut butter on your lips, yup that's what it feels like!

660 Berry Haute
Berry Haute is a very purple shade, but trust me it's not the purple that you see in neon commercials. It's more of a berry purple shade that's in more of the dark side perfect for fall!

415 Pink In The Afternoon
Pink in the afternoon is the perfect everyday wear pink. This shade isn't your typical stand out Barbie pink but more of the pastel rose pink you see in spring. That being said it's perfect for spring or summer!

Oh did I mention I got these for only $3.84 each, that's more than %50 off! Quantities last so hurry to the nearest walmart canada near you!

Sale starts September 18, 2014 to September 24, 2014

Fall Fav's Lipstick 🍂

Psst! It's almost October, and you know what that means...Candy! Yeah that too but it means Fall has arrived!

The best way I get ready for fall is to pick out my most darkest and neutral lipstick that I'm currently loving!

1. Burt Bees Lip Shine (Pucker)
Smells really fruity and gives your lips a tint of redness when wearing alone but if you put it over a dark lipstick, it'll just give it the perfect pop.

2. Loreal Colour Riche Balm (Tender Mauve)

It has SPF 15, nothing better than havin SPF in your lipstick! This is a very natural sheer lip balm that gives your lip a hit of shine. The color is a mix of brown and pink, in my opinion but looks very close to your lip color.

3. Lancôme Color Design Cream (All Done Up)

I absolutely love this color! It's a really dark reddish pink that screams fall to me and the fact that it is a cream lipstick makes it last a long time on your lips.

A Book Price To Die For!

There's a new cheap bookstore in town! Although the books are limited, this store gives a deal too good you'll only get to spend less than $5.

Okay so yesterday I went to the Holy Grail store named Dollar Store. BIG SHOCKER! I was browsing through the colouring book section for my twins sister  , but as I looked down I realized that they actually carry books too. I looked through and I have to admit some books weren't that great. However as I dinged deep in the back shelf I found the book I always wanted... My Double Life by Janette Rallison! My face expression was like "Oh My God, I need to get this" and so I did with the price of $1.50 plus tax of course. Did you know this book retails for  $21 in Canada? This was such an amazing steal that I just had to share!

Go to your nearest Dollar Store now and buy an awesome book for under $5!

Love Vanessa ❤️

Rimmel Stay Matte vs Maybelline Fit Me!

Which ones a better pressed powder?

(Rimmel London Stay Matte in 004 Sandstorm and Maybelline Fit Me in 315 Soft Honey)

Maybelline Fit Me Claims:
• To match your natural tone
• Blennd seamlessly
• Lets skin breathe.

What it really does?
I find that whenever I use this powder it leaves my skin really oily at the end of the day. What Maybelline forgot to mention was that this had sparkles in it. When you apply this and look really close you'll see your face a slight bit sparkly but when you look from far away you won't notice the shine. Aside from the sparkles, this is a really high coverage pressed powder that covers my pimples really well and didn't dry them out!

Who would I recommend this to?
Anyone that doesn't have oily skin because if your looking for a pressed powder that will keep you matte all day, than this one isn't for you. However,on the other hand people with dry skin will love this powder instantly if A) you want a medium-full coverage B) a bit of sparkles or C) a powder that doesn't dry you out.

Rimmel London Stay Matte Claims:
• Up to 5 hours of shine control with natural minerals
• Minimise the appearance of pores

What it really does?
The Stay Matte lives up to all it's claims! The reason being whenever I wear this and check up on how my makeup is doing at the end of the day, it doesn't seem to get super oily. Not only does this  have shine control but an amazing coverage also! The Maybelline Fit Me and this have the same coverage but this one's more natural (meaning no hidden sparkles inside).

Who would I recommend this to?
People with oily skin will adore this powder because I sure did! I loved this product so much I went so walmart and bought 3 more of these! Trust me you will because this will help control the shine , we oily people face.

Whose the Winner?
Sorry to say this Maybelline, but I'm declaring Rimmel Stay Matte as the winner! This product is just the best thing you will find in drugstores.
